Anthrolicious explores the sweet+sticky+spicy+smelly+savory ways in which we encounter and try to make sense of cultural differences. These written and audio stories are inspired by LiAnne Yu’s love of anthropology and unshakable belief that the world should be run by anthropologists. But sadly, too many anthropologists are cooped up in ivory towers and only do academic speak. So LiAnne’s goal is to take a big whopping scoop of anthropology, mix in a healthy amount of narrative journalism and travel writing, and whip up a delicious concoction that hits a spot you never knew you had.
LiAnne splits her time between San Francisco, the city that raised her, the Big Island of Hawaii, where talk story is an endurance sport, and Frankfurt, where she still hasn’t found anybody to go with her on the Ebbelwoi Express.
